Teceo minimises energy consumption to reduce costs and carbon footprint while guaranteeing a safe and comfortable environment for passengers and employees
The RENFE state-of-the-art high-speed rail network transports passengers within the Valencia region and connects it to neighbouring cities of Aragon, Castile- La Mancha, Catalonia, Madrid and Murcia.
The company is constantly driving innovation to meet customer needs and support sustainable growth. One such scheme to improve the passenger experience and reduce the company’s carbon footprint is the new energy efficient lighting system installed at Xàtiva station.
They opted to change the lighting to LED technology to improve the lighting level and quality in public areas of the station, reduce costs in terms of power consumption and reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
They chose the Teceo to light the platforms. Its robust design means that it can withstand the vibrations of the passing trains and provide performance in the long-term. A total of 40 luminaires were installed.
They provide a bright, glare-free light that has significantly improved visibility for passengers and staff, ensuring safety within this busy environment.
RENFE has received some excellent feedback on the new lighting, not only from its own employees, who were surprised by how the light has changed their working environment for the better, but also from customers who use the station regularly.
