MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

The opportunity:
We are a small finance team who works together towards the same goal. Everyone has their own part in the team but are happy to help each other when required.
Reporting to the CFO, the Management Accountant is focusing in managing operations of the business. Responsible for the budget planning and supports the leadership teams by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the business. The Management Accountant should manage business in such a manner to maximise return on investment while minimising risk and ensure control over business operation. As well as engaging in financial analysis in areas such as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis and reviewing operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Manage outsourced functions. Work with leadership teams to achieve individual department goals and objectives.
- Provide ongoing support to the operations teams.
- Manage the preparation of the company's budget. Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances. Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company. Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management. Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement.
Job Duties:
- Accountancy, preparation of the financial statements, budgets preparation and variations analysis
- Definition and installation of internal audit procedures and KPI’s, checking of their validity and their follow-up
- Working closely with the factory, warehouse and operation teams in analysing progress of the operations, include costing, profitability, operation efficiency and savings
- Contacts with the auditors
- Cash-flow management and working capital follow-up
- Management of the relationships with the tax authorities
- Monthly and Quarterly Group Financial reporting.
- Consolidation package and intercompany reconciliation procedures.
- Business controlling, understanding, analysis and interpretation of how the numbers relate to the business.
- Treasury functions.
- Risk management, identifying risk and risk mitigation factor to ensure business continuity.
- Cost accounting principles
- Insurance and lease principles
- People and team management
- Reporting of results to both local and to group requirements.
